The Builder's Path_
I'm Nestor Sulu — a Mexican entrepreneur and software engineer who has spent 20+ years turning curiosity into a career. I grew up in Mérida, Mexico, and have called Xiamen, China home for more than two decades. Along the way, I've led teams, started businesses, and learned by doing.
This is the personal story behind the work — the places, people, and decisions that shaped who I am today.
[MY_JOURNEY]
The chapters that shaped me.
1990s
MÉRIDA // MEXICO
A Kid From Mérida Obsessed With Computers.
I grew up in Mérida, Mexico, fascinated by computers long before the internet reached everyday life. I studied Computer Science at the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán and graduated near the top of my class. My thesis was on EDI, one of the earliest ways businesses exchanged digital information. Even then, what interested me most was how technology could connect people and companies.
1998
FALCO // FIRST CHAPTER
My First Real-World Chapter.
Straight out of Computer Science, I joined Falco Electronics, an American multinational manufacturer. Within two years I was IT Manager — and I developed an EDI client before the e-commerce era, one that even competed with solutions from giants like GE. Then came IT Director, supervising IT teams across the United States, Mexico, China, and India. Along the way, I learned that technology alone is never enough — businesses need stories, too.
2001
XIAMEN // CHINA
One Way Ticket to Xiamen.
I relocated to Xiamen, China — a move that became one of the defining decisions of my life. China has been home for more than two decades now. Working with factories, entrepreneurs, and exporters, I watched the country transform into a global powerhouse while learning to bridge Eastern manufacturing with Western branding.
2006
CLOUD ONE // MY OWN PATH
Building Something of My Own.
After leaving Falco, I wanted to create something of my own, not just manage. So I founded Cloud One Design in Xiamen, working on corporate branding, websites, design, and custom business systems. It wasn't about selling isolated services — it was about helping companies communicate who they really were. Those eleven years shaped the way I still work today: technology and design, together.
During my Cloud One years, I also developed a website that let foreigners buy from Taobao — before AliExpress existed — and my own online shop system before Shopify was created. That online shop system is what eventually led me to partner with Cyrusher.2015
CYRUSHER // A NEW CHAPTER
The E-Bike Story.
A client asked me to partner with him in Cyrusher. As co-founder and marketing director, I helped scale the e-bike brand from $20K to more than $2M a month — branding, e-commerce, creative direction, and the full customer journey, built the hard way. Around the same time, Toastmasters helped me find my voice as a speaker: more than 60 speeches and the Distinguished Toastmaster designation. One lesson stayed with me: campaigns can generate sales, but brands create long-term value.
2023
AFTERMINDZ // THE NEXT CHAPTER
Still Curious. Still Building.
I founded Aftermindz — bringing together what I'd learned about technology, branding, and digital marketing to help businesses put AI to practical use. I also founded Pixellum, a platform for realistic commercial photography. The tools have changed since my early days in Mérida, but the motivation hasn't: keep learning, create things that matter, and help people tell better stories.
[LESSONS_ALONG_THE_WAY]
With over 20 years of experience in business logic — from developing e-commerce frameworks in the early days to competing with giants like GE — I've learned that the only thing that lasts is a solid engine.
Now, I'm documenting my journey to becoming a millionaire by architecting the proprietary AI systems I use to run my own brands. This site is a raw look at how I bridge the gap between AI hype and real operational scale.
- RECORD_01Built and scaled my own e-commerce brand from $20K to $2M/month.
- RECORD_02Built a Taobao-style marketplace engine before AliExpress existed.
- RECORD_03Developed my own CRM and public speaking systems from scratch.
- RECORD_04Built my own EDI client that competed with GE in the old times.
If you want to see what it actually takes to build a million-dollar engine from the ground up, follow along.
